WHAT IS THE BLACK TINY HOUSE FESTIVAL?
The Black Tiny Home Festival will showcase Tiny Homes of all different styles for guests to tour including, Vans, RVs, Skoolies, Box Truck Conversion, & Traditional Tiny Houses owned by Black and Brown people. There will also be a Glamping Event, Informative Lifestyle Workshops, Live Performances, a Black-Owned Vendor Market, Nomad Formal Gala, and More!
WHO IS INVITED TO ATTEND?
Although this event is For Us and By Us, ALL Allies are Welcome to Attend. For the Glamping tickets, at least one attending family member must identify as black or brown.
WHERE IS IT LOCATED?
St John's Fairground is located in the greater St. Augustine, FL
WHAT DOES ZERO WASTE OR PACK IN/PACK OUT MEAN?
In an effort to reduce unnecessary waste at our event, we will be practicing a zero waste initiative. This includes providing segregated waste bins for trash, recycling, and compost. As well as a designated dog waste area and provided waste bags. All food will be served on paper, compostable or biodegradable products (feel free to provide your own dishes). Also, we will be enforcing a “Bring a Cup / Buy a Cup” policy for drinks. No single-use plastics will be allowed at this event. As for the event setup, we will be mindful of wasteful decor and supplies, food waste, and paper product use. You can support this effort by not bringing outside items that would be wasteful, picking up after your dog and putting trash in the appropriate bins.
WHAT ARE THE DETAILS OF THE EVENT?
This event has 2 components. A 4 Day/3 Night Glamping Meetup Event to bring together the black nomadic community and a 3-Day Festival Event to showcase Black tiny home owners, Black-owned businesses, Black artists, and entertainers, and provide informative workshops about Tiny home living and off-grid living.
